Our most popular baby boy's 1st birthday outfit right now is the vintage airplane "time flies" theme set.
We are often asked for recommendations of where to get coordinated pieces for pictures or to see example pics of babies wearing the cake smash outfit.
So, here are some ideas of how to do a vintage airplane cake smash photoshoot!
Our airplane cake smash outfit is a 5 piece set: a onesie, a tie, a neckstrap, pants, and an aviator hat. You can get any combination of the pieces.
The tie snaps onto either the onesie or the neckstrap, so our little customers are able to wear the outfit for some nice pics and their cake smash, too.
Here's a few of our favorite customer pics in the outfit:
I love these navy moccs from JaxHoo! They coordinate perfectly.
Another option I couldn't resist including are these hand painted airplane shoesby Boy Girl Boy Girl Designs!
Every photoshoot needs a banner, don't you think? I am a big fan of Soiree Love's tassle banners, and this red, navy, and light blue one would be fun in the background.
Another option is do get a banner with paper plane cut outs. This red and blue airplane garland by Studio M Shop would look great.
Some vintage suitcases would look amazing in your cake smash shoot. I found these amazing ones on etsy but you'll probably want to scout your local antique store instead. And definitely check with your photographer first, they are a pretty common photo prop!
I always love adding balloons - they look great and entertain baby. Oriental Tradinghas pretty much every color you might need.
No photoshoot is complete without a toy to keep baby busy! If your little guy has a favorite airplane that looks nice, bring it along.
If you want something new, Bannor Toy's airplane teether is sweet and will do the trick.
Now all you need is cake and of course, a 1 year old baby boy! If you put together an airplane cake smash with our outfit, send us a picture, we would love to see it!
