Cake Smash Ideas: Little Monster

The little monster cake smash outfit has been one of our most popular boy birthday sets.  (A monster theme just seems so appropriate for some little boys, doesn't it? My older son has been nicknamed "Baby Monster" since he was a few days old!)

The cool thing about our cake smash outfits is that the ties snap onto either the onesie or the neckstrap.  So baby boy can wear the tie and strap for his cake smash pictures and then you can snap the tie back onto the onesie for his party.  Or take some pictures in the onesie, and then do just the tie and strap when the cake comes out.

1. A crochet monster hat.  This adorable one is from Hat Characters, and I think is so much more appropriate than the standard birthday hat!

3. More bright decor.  Stock up on fans and pom pom puffs and polka dot balloons from Oriental Trading.  I'm loving the turquoise, lime, and orange color combination - but you could throw purple, yellow, or red in there too.

4. Bright Moccs. I don't know how you'll pick which bright color baby moccasins to put on his feet, but any of these Bare Soles Moccs will do the trick! (She also makes Monsters Inc moccs!)

5. A cuddly friend.  Add his favorite stuffed monster or maybe even an Ugly Doll as a cute photo prop.
